“That the Chief Executive and this Council write to the relevant Minister(s) to call for the enactment of legislation to discontinue the use of physical plastic election posters in Fingal and other Local Authorities on the grounds of environmental pollution and littering, unsightly defacement of our environment and unwieldy cost, and to promote and encourage the use of biodegradable versions, leaflets and canvas cards, as well as online medium, in place of the current unsustainable traditional practice.”
