“That this Area Committee recommends that the Council initiate the process of producing a consultation draft for the application of a 30km/h speed limit in the urban areas of Dublin City and Suburbs, Portmarnock, Kinsealy, Kinsealy-Drinan and Malahide, recognised in the "CSO Urban Areas - National Statistical Boundaries - 2022 - Ungeneralised*" where they fall within the Howth/Malahide Area, to apply to:
-streets and roads within urban cores;
-residential, local and link roads and streets in urban areas;
-streets adjacent to schools;
-locations where it would significantly reduce road danger.”

The attached motion, in the name of Councillor D. Healy was proposed by Councillor D. Healy and seconded by Councillor J. Hopkins.

Following discussion, James Culhane agreed that workshops will be arrange with the Elected Members of the 3 Areas.
