“That this Council agrees to actively work with the Department of Education and IMEASC to identify a suitable site for the building and provision of a Gaelcholáiste in Swords, or the greater Swords area, to meet the growing need for secondary education through Irish in the County of Fingal.”

The Motion in the name of Councillor J. Smyth was proposed by Councillor J. Smyth and seconded by Councillor L. Corkery

It was agreed to amend the motion to read:

“That this Council agrees to actively work and meet with the Department of Education and IMEASC,  to identify a suitable site for the building and provision of a Gaelcholáiste in Swords, or the greater Swords area, to meet the growing need for secondary education through Irish in the County of Fingal”

The amended motion was proposed by Councillor J. Smyth and seconded by Councillor L. Corkery

The report by the Chief Executive, which had been circulated, was read and CONSIDERED and following discussion the amended motion was Agreed.
