“That this Area Committee supports the use of Malahide Castle for a wide range of events including Sporting Events, open Air Cinema, Scouting meetings, Music Concerts and other activities.”

It was proposed by Councillor B. McDonagh and seconded by Councillor A. Lavin.

The attached report by the Chief Executive was read. 

The Members complimented the Manager on the wide benefit of events to the public and the ongoing maintenance and management of Malahide Demesne.

Mr. Stephen Peppard, Senior Executive Officer reported that there was a balance between commercial and public space and advised the Members that the Dublin Parks Tennis was back in the Demesne this year along with a myriad of sporting events.  Mr. Peppard advised the Members that the Woodland Management Plan is the method by which woodland is managed and will be made available to the Members via email.

Following discussion the motion was AGREED.
