“That the Chief Executive, in light of recent events in Dublin City Centre, join with the Mayor on behalf of the Elected Members, write a strongly worded letter of appreciation and support to our emergency and frontline services, and their representative bodies, in recognition of our gratitude for the invaluable work they do every day, 24/7, in keeping our communities safe, this letter to include: An Garda Síochána, the Ambulance Service, Dublin Fire Brigade, all public transport providers/workers, frontline Local Authority workers and medical staff, including nurses, doctors and health care assistants.”

The motion, in the name of Councillor A. Henchy was proposed by Councillor A. Henchy and seconded by Councillor M. McCamley.

Following a discussion, it was AGREED to include those organisations that represent retail and hospitality workers.  Following further discussions the motion was AGREED.
