Itis anexceptional sitewhich, inthe eventof itnolongerbeingsuitable forresidential use,couldbere-used toprovide forfuture tourism,amenity andother recreationalneedswithintheCounty.Thereis a needtoexamine optionsregarding theoptimalre-use andrefurbishmentof thecomplexofbuildingswithinthedemesne setting,toensurethefuture sustainableuse ofthisimportantand uniqueresource.

Anintegratedtourism andrecreationalcomplexis encouragedon AbbeyvilleDemesne.Thisshall incorporatefacilitieswhichmayinclude: Hotel/ ConferenceCentre,Golf Course,FitnessCentreand atleast oneotherextensivetourist/recreationalfacility. Astrictlylimited numberof dwelling  units,groupedin acourtyardtype configuration,with themajority ofthe dwellingstobereservedfor tourismuse.whichshallbereservedfor tourismuse.
