“That the Chief Executive write to both the Director General and the Board of RTE to clearly outline Fingal’s very strong interest in becoming the new home of a modern, slim National Broadcaster, should RTE take a decision to vacate their current premises in Donnybrook, Fingal as the fastest growing, youngest and most diverse Local Authority in the country with its close proximity to Dublin Airport and all the major road networks in the country as well as its strategic location along the developing Dublin-Belfast corridor, makes Fingal the ideal destination for a new home and a fresh start for our National Broadcaster.“

The motion, in the name of Councillor A. Henchy was proposed by Councillor A. Henchy and seconded by Councillor G. Maguire.

Following discussion, the Mayor instructed that a roll call vote be taken on the motion and on a division the voting resulted as follows:
