Question from Councillor Robert O'Donoghue: Station Road Development Commercial Units, Lusk. AI093241

Meeting: 14/12/2023 - Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Area Committee (Services B - Strategic and General Matters) (Item 645)

Councillor R. O'Donoghue - Station Road Development Commercial Units, Lusk - AI093241

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update regarding communications between the developer of the new Town Centre on Station Road in Lusk and the Council about proposed alterations to the commercial units, given that there are planning conditions regarding:

1. The provision of the new Civic Plaza with additional C1 Open Space allocated in the new park described in F18A/0645 & F16A/0646 and shared link between Scholars Walk and Loughcommon Lane shall implemented within 1 year of the expiry of the parent permission F15A/0565 and F19A/0633 by 29th October 2023, and prior to the commencement of the residential units within Blocks 5A and 5B. (which I note has expired recently)

2. The Community creche building and retail premises in Block 5A and 5B shall be implemented within 3 years by 29th October 2025, and prior to the commencement of the residential units within Blocks 5A and 5B

Given the developer is not in the ownership of the lands associated with the provision of the civic space and parts of the associated commercial aspect of the development, will the Chief Executive comment on how this Committee may come to deliver these much needed commercial units for the town of Lusk?”
