Councillor P. Mulville - Broadband exclusivity agreements in new build estates

“To ask the Chief Executive the position regarding broadband issues facing many residents across Fingal, where there is estate wide internet connection exclusivity, particularly to Virgin Media, in new build estates, with these agreements curated by the developer, locking the residents into a 3-year contract wherein government led initiatives, such a SIRO, cannot be accessed by these residents, with such arrangements possibly being incompatible with both domestic and EU-wide law?”
