The attached report by the Chief Executive which had been circulated was CONSIDERED.  The Mayor, Councillor B. McDonagh informed the members the membership of the Committee be confined to one member from each Area Committee.

It was proposed by Councillor D. Mulligan, seconded by Councillor P. Mulville:

“That Councillor Tania Doyle be appointed to the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee.”

It was then proposed by Councillor L. Corkery, seconded by Councillor E. Dockrell:

“That Councillor Tom O’Leary be appointed to the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee.”

It was then proposed by Councillor J. Walsh, seconded by Councillor B. Ryan:

“That Councillor Mary McCamley be appointed to the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee.”

It was then proposed by Councillor G. Sheehan, seconded by Councillor P. Quinlan:

“That Councillor Ellen Troy be appointed to the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee.”

It was then proposed by Councillor P. Mulville, seconded by Councillor D. Mulligan:

“That Councillor Joan Hopkins be appointed to the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee.”

Following discussion, Councillor M. McCamley withdrew her nomination.

Following further discussions, it was AGREED to obtain confirmation from the committee to confirm acceptance of two members from Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart/Castleknock/Ongar Area Committee. 

The Mayor DECLARED Councillors Tania Doyle, Tom O’Leary, Ellen Troy and Joan Hopkins be appointed as members of the Fingal Age Friendly Alliance Committee upon confirmation that four members can be accepted by the committee.
