“In the context of the ongoing genocide in Gaza where over 35,000 civilians have been killed by the actions of Israeli military, that this Council divests from IT and other products manufactured by corporations connected to the Israeli military and security apparatus including the Elected Representatives HP laptops, as HP helps to run the biometric ID system that Israel uses to restrict Palestinian movement and are one of the top corporation on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) list.”

The motion, in the name of Councillor J. Burtchaell was proposed by Councillor J. Burtchaell and seconded by Councillor R. Coppinger.

Following discussion, the Deputy Mayor then instructed that a roll call vote be taken and on a division the voting resulted as follows:
