“To ask the Chief Executive, in the context of the free parking initiatives the Council is introducing over the Christmas period in Swords, if consideration can be given to providing equivalent incentives for bike-share schemes operating in Swords, for example, free or discounted unlocks or ride credits for the same periods as the free-parking offers to promoting walking and cycling access to Swords town centre, so that support for local business does not rely solely on encouraging additional private car use and, if not, if the Council will commit to examining such options for future Christmas trading periods?”
