Confirmation and Re-affirmation of Minutes of Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Area Committee (Services A - Operational Matters) held on Thursday 14th December 2023 Minutes of the Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Area Committee (Services A – Operational Matters) held on the 14th December 2023, which had been circulated were submitted, APPROVED as a true record and signed.
It was proposed by Councillor Humphreys and seconded by Councillor Boland and RESOLVED:
“That the recommendations contained in the Minutes of the Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Area Committee (Services A – Operational Matters) Meeting held on 14th December 2023 be ADOPTED and APPROVED”. |

During the course of discussion an amendment was received.
“That the manager writes to both NTA and Go Ahead to seek clarification as to why the 41B bus can stop at Lispopple Cross on both sides of the Road and the 197 bus does not. I am requesting that the 197 bus stops, at all stops outlined on the Bus Eireann Bus route as legitimate stops for the 41b bus including Rath Lane and Lispopple Cross.”
This amendment was proposed by Councillor Manton, seconded by Councillor Carey.
This amendment was NOT AGREED.
During the course of further discussion, a second amendment was received.
“To ask the Chief Executive to write to the NTA and Go Ahead to ask why the 41B bus is scheduled to stop at various stops outlined on their schedule as legitimate stops by Dublin Bus on the Rolestown Route and the 197 Bus refuses to stop at these stops and that the 197 bus stops at all the stops outlined on the Dublin bus schedule.”
This was proposed by Councillor Manton, seconded by Councillor Newman.
Following discussion, the Committee AGREED the amended motion.
