“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the expansion of opening hours of Rogerstown Park to include Sundays in the short term and full time opening in line with other Regional Parks in 2025?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to advise when the traffic lights that were part of the 2023 Programme of Works, will be operational at Baleally Lane on the Dublin Road between Blake’s Cross and Lusk?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to have the stretch of the R128 between Lusk and Rush evaluated for inclusion for resurfacing in the next Programme of Works?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to have the footpaths in Orlynn Park, Lusk evaluated for upgrading, specifically the first row and third row of the estate from the entrance at Station Road, where residents would like sections of the pathway brought up to standard either via the general maintenance programme or the next Programme of Works?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to have the stretch of footpath from Palmer Road to Clifflands on the Skerries Road in Rush evaluated for being brought up to standard in the next Programme of Works.”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to include the necessary finance in next year’s Programme of Works for the provision of traffic calming measures along the Corballis Cottages Road in Donabate, given the safety concerns of residents and the local horse-riding school and in view of the number of accidents along this stretch of road used by pedestrians and horses on a daily basis?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to providing traffic signage on the approach road from Man’O’War to Balrothery, ahead of the Balruddery Woods and Balruddery Fields Estates, to alert motorists to the movement of children from these estates towards the village and to consider the need for VAS technology?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given for a review to be completed of the junction of Killary Grove with Grange Lodge Avenue which is a “T” Junction, as to whether the “Yield” sign which is currently in place should be replaced be with a “Stop” sign?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to providing a sign indicating a “Bad Bend Ahead” at the approach to the junction of Killary Road and Grange Lodge Avenue?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on the traffic and parking situation on Balbriggan Street, Skerries, in light of the fact that when residents rightly park their cars on the roadway, traffic movement through the street can be very restricted and problematic?”

“To ask the Chief Executive for an update on when the planned and funded resurfacing of Shenick Road in Skerries will commence, when will Uisce Éireann start and complete their planned pipework (drainage) on Shenick Road and have they been in contact recently to indicate when they might start, and finish work there so the resurfacing can proceed?”

"To ask the Chief Executive, further to a recent site meeting, if an update can be provided on planned repairs and some drainage work to the Mourne View soccer pitches (Mourne View Celtic pitch and Skerries Town FC pitch)?”

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the recent speed survey at Rush Road, Skerries and to facilitate a site meeting with residents there to consider hard traffic calming measures such as the installation of ramps?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the agreed plan to install a new seat opposite the pond area leading on to the footpath by the river at Skerries Mills, as agreed at a site meeting some months ago and possibly some new signage there to mark the location of the original Mills Cottage?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to make the “Dangerous Currents” signage at the Martello side of Balbriggan beach double-sided, due to the increased usage of this side of Balbriggan beach, in order to make it more visible and impactful?”

“To ask the Chief Executive, given that Clonard Court Estate is now enjoying a second generation of children and the Class One open space has only got a partial boundary fence along the green area, if consideration could be given to make the area safer by extending the fence line to stop children running onto the road especially when playing football?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to consider replacing the speed cushions on the Skerries Road at Hampton Cove Estate which, because of their size, have had no impact on reducing speeding and have subsequently broken down?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to consider reinstating the road markings in Chapel Court in Balbriggan?”

"To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to provide dog regulations signage in the Class 2 open space in Balbriggan due to an increase of dogs not under effective control and the lack of dog wardens available at weekends when most policy breeches take place?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on work completed and expected to be completed in this Local Electoral Area under the Programme of Works?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to install a VAS sign on the section of road between Applewood Community Centre and Bunbury Gate?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to advise if there are any plans for a Summer Works Programme to be implemented in this Local Electoral Area, focusing on tree pruning, to keep footpaths and cycle lanes clear of overgrowth, rather than addressing the issue on a case-by-case basis?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to undertake remedial works, prior to the commencement of the winter season, at the bad bend at Palmerstown, Oldtown which is the subject of persistent flooding?”

“To ask the Chief Executive to advise as to when an appropriate safety gate will be provided at the exit from the new Garristown playground?”

“To ask the Chief Executive if consideration can be given to provide a new public light in the vicinity of (details supplied) for the purpose of giving protection to the passengers of the school bus who are obliged to congregate there having, in many cases, walked from Ballyboughal Village or have to wait at the location pending a return lift home?”

“That the Chief Executive conduct a feasibility study for a walking and an exercise path on the perimeter of the two playing pitches and other open space at Mourne View in Skerries, and if feasible, to make provision for the installation of the new pathway in the Annual Budget.”

“That the Chief Executive conduct an audit and provide a report detailing the condition of the playgrounds in the Swords area and the equipment therein to identify and highlight any problems with the equipment and the play surface, to establish what remedial repair work is necessary to ensure the playgrounds are of a high standard and to ensure the safety of the children who use them.”

“That the Chief Executive acknowledges the continued positive impact, post-pandemic, of outdoor dining spaces on the physical appearance of our streets, on business and on the local economy and that the Council will promote outdoor dining spaces in future public realm projects across this Local Electoral Area, including the retention of existing parklets.”

“That the Chief Executive, on a case-by-case basis, maintain the parklets that have supported the hospitality businesses in the Balbriggan/Swords LEA and helped grow these businesses, enhance the public realm and create an opportunity for an outdoor culinary experience.”

“That the Chief Executive carry out works at the Northern entrance to North Beach in Rush, accessed via Six Cross Lane, to bring the area up to standard for accessing the beach for people with disabilities and parents pushing buggies, the access point is a right of way and its current state makes it difficult  for anyone with a buggy, wheelchair, elderly or on crutches to access the beach, this is likely to increase with the development of estates such as Mariners Way, the middle part of the walkway is quite rocky, can the walkway be widened or have a more permanent built walkway installed to help accessibility, this would aid all users.” (Photo attached).

“That the Chief Executive investigate the possibility of installing a yellow box junction outside Castleview to improve traffic flow and safety particularly for people turning left out of the estate at peak times.”

“That the Chief Executive remove the time-locked gate and fencing between Beverton and Ballisk and replace it with appropriately designed bollards and landscaping to ensure pedestrian and cycle access only.”

“That the Chief Executive report on what options there are with regard to the replacement bus stop on the Rathbeale Road opposite JC’s Supermarket heading west and to ask if moving the replacement bus stop further along past the entrance to Glasmore Park along the R125 to the open stretch of road bordering Abbeylea Drive (where there are no car driveways) is an alternative option.”

“That the Chief Executive commence a full review of the R122 and R130 which have now become rat runs for those seeking to avoid the M1 and that, in doing so, take account of the number of accidents which occur on this road during the off-peak travelling hours.”

“That the Chief Executive conducts a review of the placement of bus stops on the Rathbeale Road in Swords.”

“That the Chief Executive agrees to meet with Balbriggan “Save our Sand” group to discuss the management and maintenance of the beach in the context of the marram grass/lyme grass growth on the front beach Balbriggan.”

“That the Chief Executive include funding in the forthcoming Capital Plan for the previously discussed Tayleur Anchor Redevelopment at the Square on the Lower Main Street in Rush.”

“That the Chief Executive report on when the planned improvements for the dog “off leash” area at Newbridge Demesne will commence, what exactly is being planned and that consideration be given to a designated quiet hour for dogs who are shy and/or recovering from injuries.”

“That the Chief Executive clear the public surface water drains on New Street in Skerries and at the corner of Church Street, outside the AXA Insurance Company premises, as they overflow and flood in heavy rain.”

“That the Chief Executive carries out the pruning of the trees in Bunbury Gate/Brides Glen that are over hanging the footpaths.”

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on the procurement of CCTV for the Ward Rivervalley Park public toilets?”
