M. Lenehan - Visibility and Prioritisation of Footpath Remediation Works in Fingal
Motion:? M. Lenehan:
“That the Chief Executive develops and adopts a policy to provide the public with clear and accessible information regarding planned footpath remediation works throughout the County.”
Report:????? ? The Operations Department presents its proposed Annual Programme of Works for consideration by the elected members at their respective Area Committee Meetings at the start of every year. This includes planned footpath remediation works. The extent of the Programme is determined by the allocation of funding made by the members at the Council’s Annual Budget Meeting, as well as by that which can reasonably be achieved by the staff resources available.
The 2026 Programme of Works will be brought to each respective Area Committee in January 2026 for approval by Elected Members.
Alongside the Annual planned Programme of Works, unplanned minor works are also carried out on an ad hoc and emergency basis within budgetary constraints as part of the respective Area Engineers’ General Maintenance Programme.
When footpath works are due commence, the Elected Members for the affected location are notified and public notices are also issued on the Council’s social media channels.
Following discussion, the Committee NOTED the report |
