Councillor Walsh asked that the minutes be amended to state “Chairperson” as opposed to “Area Chairperson”

Abi Wise requested that the minutes of 11^th December 2024 reflect her attendance at the meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 11^th December 2024 were considered.

It was proposed by Councillor Donnelly and seconded by Councillor Dockrell and AGREED.  “That Minutes of 11^th December 2024 be ADOPTED and APPROVED.”

The policies to be presented to the Community Sports & Culture SPC are as follows:

•           Community Development and Inclusion

•           Strengthen communities through participation, connectivity, inclusion and

                building capacity of community leaders

•           Social Inclusion = Active Inclusion

•           Gender Equality

•           Oversight of Community elements of the Local Economic and Community Plan       (LECP)

•           Fingal Libraries Development Plan 2024 – 2029

•           Creative Ireland Programme

•           Arts Plan 2019 – 2025

•           Enhance and Protect the Heritage of the County

•           Promotion of Irish Language

•           Sports Activities

•           Public Participation and Resident Engagement

•           Focus on capabilities rather than disabilities

•           Active Citizenship

•           Age Friendly Strategy

The committee agreed to prioritize three items for the June meeting as follows:

•           Social Inclusion = Active Inclusion

•           Oversight of Community elements of the Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP)

•           Age Friendly Strategy

Councillor Walsh requested that Childhood Education and Care take a priority for 2025.

Councillor Dockrell requested that the committee focus on a strategy to increase female participation in sport in Fingal and a Local Artist Fair.

The workplan was noted by all.
