The minutes of the meeting held on 20th March 2025 were agreed. The minutes were proposed by Councillor P. Mulville and seconded by Mr. Charles Sargent.

A presentation was given on the Shore to Sea project, a litter awareness campaign which highlights the impact of litter in particular cigarette butts, on marine life.  The presentation was given by Jennifer Muscheidt, Environmental Awareness Officer, Environment, Climate Action, Active Travel & Sports Department.

A presentation was given by Anne Browning, Statkraft updating the members on the NISA Offshore Wind Energy project (North Irish Sea Array).  This was followed by a discussion and questions from the members. A copy of the presentation was requested to be forwarded to all members.

Councillor Donnelly requested a discussion be held regarding the Works Programme for 2025 and to agree a number of projects/policies on the workplan for prioritisation in 2025.  Following a discussion amongst the members on a number of topics it was agreed to look at policies around Coastal Erosion and Flooding.  It was suggested that a follow-up presentation on the prevention of Coastal Erosion be made to this committee at the next SPC meeting.
